How to Quickly Get Your Home Inspection Website Indexed into Google
In many cases it can take months before your website can get indexed into the various search engines. There are some services out there that will allow you to pay money to get indexed a lot quicker, but here is a tip that can can get you added to Google’s search database in as little as a few hours.
The fastest way to get listed is to find a quality web site that is already listed in Google’s database and get your website link on that website. The key phrase here is “Quality Website”. To help determine if a website is a quality one, take a look at it’s PageRank. This is one of Google’s methods to measure the importance of a web page according to its popularity and links to other websites. The higher page ranked sites typically are scanned by Google everyday (and in many cases, they’re scanned by Google & other search engines several times a day).
Your goal would be to get listed on these websites. The search engine spiders will follow the links on these website to other sites. If you’re linked, your home inspector website will be spotted by the search engine spiders. This doesn’t guarantee you’ll get picked up, even though the chances are extremely high that you’ll get picked up. The key to increasing your chances of getting indexed is to have quality, relevant information yourself.
Ideally, you’ll want to link to websites that are related to your industry. Connect with other sites such as real estate agents, mortgage brokers, home inspection directories, inspection associations, etc…
Here are some sites that would be relevant to your industry and they also have a decent page rank:
- http://www.homeinspectionbusinesses.com
Those are just a few sites I came across and some will require you to pay a small monthly or yearly fee, but it’s worth it. By having quality content on your website, and having quality links pointing to your site also helps in getting you great search engine rankings too…
One way to know that the search engine robots are visiting your website is to check your stats/log files. I’m going to assume that all of you are monitoring your stats because you are great business owners, right? Your stats should indicate when the various search engine spiders crawl your website.
There are others way to get listed, this is just one method, but it works extremely well! Give it a shot and you should be listed in now time; usually 1-3 days, in comparison to 6-12 months.
